So I have been listening to a lot of The Civil Wars lately. They have been such a beautiful intro into the summer. Mellow and beautiful. I have also been listening to Michael Jackson who has always been a spring time to summer jam of mine sense I was very wee. So today when I found a cover of Billie Jean done by The Civil Wars who could blame me for being thrilled. Happy Summer.

—Afraid of Summer

It has been forever sense I have been able to find a band that makes my heart paratatat the way that this band does. Matt Sheehy and Bret Knopf have officially become my favorite songwriter and producer. I should have known that they were involved the moment they stole my heart. From Menomena to Ramona Falls and now Lost Lander, Bret has had the ability to create a sound that fills that void in me for beautiful music. Thank you for filling it again.

This video is awesome. Its been a long time sense I’ve seen a music video with a story line. I think it was more common in the 80’s. Anyway, I stumbled by this song and it just stuck with me. I couldn’t really get it out of my head. So I bought it and decided that I loved it. I know these guys are popular, I just don’t know where they are popular. I haven’t gotten quite that far into it, you know, to look anything up about them. Something about France. Something about a Gonzalez. Something about a spiral galaxy…pffft…  All I know is that I think this song is the chit.
